The app is the mobile companion to our website,\u00a0<strong>chefchoice.com.np<\/strong>, and shares the same customer accounts and order system.<\/p>\n<p>By using the app you agree to this policy.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>1. Information we collect<\/h2>\n<p>We only collect what we need to take and deliver your food orders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information you give us<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Account details<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the email address (or username) and password you use to sign in. Accounts are the same as on chefchoice.com.np.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact &amp; delivery details<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 your name, phone number, email, and delivery address, used to prepare and deliver your order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Order information<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the items you order, order notes, and order history.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reviews<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 any product rating or review text you choose to submit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Profile photo<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 optional. If you add one, it is stored\u00a0<strong>only on your phone<\/strong>\u00a0and is never uploaded to us or anyone else.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Information collected automatically<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Delivery location (GPS)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 only when you tap &#8220;Use my current location&#8221; at checkout, and only if you grant location permission. The coordinates are attached to that order so the delivery rider can find you. We do\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0track your location in the background or at any other time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>App activity for personalization<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the items you search for, view, and order are remembered\u00a0<strong>on your phone<\/strong>\u00a0to show you &#8220;Order again&#8221; and &#8220;Recently viewed&#8221; suggestions. This history stays on your device and is not sent to us.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loyalty (Chef Points)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 points you earn and redeem are recorded against your account on our website so your balance is the same in the app and online.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Push notification token<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 if notifications are enabled, Google&#8217;s Firebase service issues a token so we can send you order updates and offers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we do NOT collect<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We do\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0collect or use an\u00a0<strong>advertising ID<\/strong>. The app shows no ads and does no advertising tracking.<\/li>\n<li>We do\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0collect payment card details. Orders are\u00a0<strong>Cash on Delivery<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 you pay the rider in cash.<\/li>\n<li>We do\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0sell your personal information to anyone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2. How we use your information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To take, prepare, and deliver your food orders.<\/li>\n<li>To manage your account across the app and website.<\/li>\n<li>To show your order status and history, and let you reorder.<\/li>\n<li>To run the Chef Points loyalty program.<\/li>\n<li>To send you notifications you have allowed (see Section 5).<\/li>\n<li>To display reviews and ratings you submit.<\/li>\n<li>To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. Biometric sign-in<\/h2>\n<p>If you turn on fingerprint\/face sign-in, your account password is encrypted using a key held in your phone&#8217;s secure hardware (Android Keystore) that can only be unlocked by your biometrics. Your fingerprint or face data is handled entirely by your device&#8217;s Android system \u2014\u00a0<strong>we never receive or store it<\/strong>, and the encrypted password never leaves your phone.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Location<\/h2>\n<p>Location is used for a single purpose: attaching your delivery position to an order when you ask us to. It is requested only in that moment (and, optionally, once when you first open the app), it is only &#8220;while using the app&#8221;, and it is never collected in the background. You can decline it and still order by typing your address.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Notifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Order updates<\/strong>\u00a0(&#8220;your order is confirmed \/ on its way \/ cancelled&#8221;) are generated from our own order system. You can turn these off in your phone&#8217;s notification settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promotional offers<\/strong>\u00a0may be sent through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can mute the &#8220;Deals &amp; rewards&#8221; channel while keeping order updates, or turn off all notifications in your phone settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>6. How your information is shared<\/h2>\n<p>We share information only as needed to run the service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Our website (chefchoice.com.np)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the app is powered by our own WordPress\/WooCommerce site; your account, orders, and loyalty data live there.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 to deliver push notifications, if you enable them. Google processes the notification token. See Google&#8217;s Privacy Policy:\u00a0<a class=\"text-[var(--accent)] hover:underline underline-offset-[1px] outline-none hide-focus-ring ring-focus rounded-r2\" href=\"https:\/\/policies.google.com\/privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/policies.google.com\/privacy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Google \/ Facebook sign-in<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 only if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, in which case that provider confirms your identity and shares your name and email with us. You can instead use email sign-in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delivery staff<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 your name, address, phone, and (if provided) delivery GPS location are shared with our rider to deliver your order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When required by law<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 we may disclose information if legally compelled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.<\/p>\n<h2>7. Data retention<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Order and account data is kept on our website for as long as your account exists and as needed for our business and legal records.<\/li>\n<li>On-device data (profile photo, search\/view history, saved sign-in) stays on your phone until you delete it, clear the app&#8217;s data, or uninstall the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>8. Your rights and choices<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Access \/ update<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 edit your name, contact details, and address any time from the app&#8217;s profile screen or on the website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location \/ notifications<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 control these any time in your phone&#8217;s Settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remove your photo<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 from the profile screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Log out<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 from the Menu tab, which clears your saved sign-in from the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>9. Deleting your account and data<\/h2>\n<p>You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing\u00a0<strong><a class=\"text-[var(--accent)] hover:underline underline-offset-[1px] outline-none hide-focus-ring ring-focus rounded-r2\" href=\"mailto:info.chefchoice@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">info.chefchoice@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with the subject &#8220;Delete my account&#8221;, from the email address on your account. We will delete your account and personal details, except records we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes. You may also uninstall the app to remove all on-device data.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Children&#8217;s privacy<\/h2>\n<p>The app is intended for general audiences ordering food and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Security<\/h2>\n<p>We use HTTPS for all communication with our website, store sign-in credentials in encrypted device storage, and exclude session credentials from device backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.<\/p>\n<h2>12. Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n<p>We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the &#8220;Last updated&#8221; date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app.<\/p>\n<h2>13.
